International Criminal Court renews five-year cooperation with GIMPA Law School

The International Criminal Court renewed its cooperation agreement with GIMPA on 4 December 2024 in The Hague for a further five years, sustaining internships, visiting professionals, seminars, research and scholarship opportunities for the LL.M in International Criminal Law and Justice through the African Centre of International Criminal Justice.

The International Criminal Court (ICC) renewed its cooperation agreement with GIMPA on 4 December 2024 for a further five years, to 2029. The memorandum was signed in The Hague on the sidelines of the 23rd session of the Assembly of States Parties by the ICC Registrar, Osvaldo Zavala Giler, and the Dean of GIMPA Law School, Dr Kwaku Agyeman-Budu. The cooperation, first signed in 2019, advances education, research and training in international criminal justice through GIMPA Law School and its African Centre of International Criminal Justice.

Under the agreement, students and faculty benefit from internships and visiting-professional placements, guest speakers, seminars, collaborative research and scholarship opportunities. The partnership underpins the School’s LL.M in International Criminal Law and Justice and strengthens Ghana’s capacity in accountability for atrocity crimes and the international justice system.
