GIMPA Training and Consulting’s two-month Certificate in Occupational Safety, Health and Environmental Management (COSHEM), delivered over ten Saturdays, includes a module on the fundamentals of environmental management covering waste management, conservation and sustainable practices. A cohort starts on 25 July 2026.

The Certificate in Occupational Safety, Health and Environmental Management (COSHEM) gives participants a foundation in the principles and practice of occupational safety, health and environmental management. It suits people building careers as safety professionals and those who want to strengthen their knowledge of workplace safety and environmental sustainability.

The syllabus covers an introduction to occupational safety and health; hazard identification and risk assessment; occupational safety regulations and compliance; emergency response planning; and the fundamentals of environmental management, including waste management, conservation and sustainable practices. Teaching blends theory with practical application.

The certificate is open to people with a high school diploma or equivalent; no specific prior experience is required. It runs for two months over ten Saturdays, with places for up to 60 participants. The second cohort of the year began on 25 July 2026 at the GIMPA main campus.
