Short courses and certificates for working professionals run by GIMPA Training and Consulting, from health management and renewable energy to data science, law and climate change.

GIMPA Training and Consulting runs short courses and certificates for working professionals. Recent courses include Health Administration and Management, Monitoring and Evaluation, Women in Management, Renewable Energy Project Planning and Management, Data Science and Business Analytics Using Python, a Certificate in Law and Governance, Understanding Climate Change, Occupational Safety, Health and Environmental Management, and Facility Management. GTC is also remodelling public sector procurement training with the Public Procurement Authority and Ghana Audit Service under World Bank technical assistance.

GTC facility management course covers sustainability and energy management.

GIMPA Training and Consulting’s four-day Facility Management course addresses the operation, maintenance, safety and sustainability of buildings and infrastructure, including sustainability and energy management. It targets facility, estate and property managers, building services engineers and public sector facility administrators, with a cohort starting on 20 August 2026.

GIMPA to overhaul public procurement training under World Bank technical assistance.

GIMPA Training and Consulting is to lead a 12-month remodelling of public sector procurement training with the Public Procurement Authority and Ghana Audit Service, under World Bank technical assistance funded by a US$200,000 grant from the Government of Japan. The revised curriculum will align with World Bank procurement regulations and emphasise case-based learning and contract management.

GTC certificate course includes environmental management module.

GIMPA Training and Consulting’s two-month Certificate in Occupational Safety, Health and Environmental Management (COSHEM), delivered over ten Saturdays, includes a module on the fundamentals of environmental management covering waste management, conservation and sustainable practices. A cohort starts on 25 July 2026.

GIMPA Training and Consulting ran a four-day short course on Renewable Energy Project Planning and Management, with a cohort starting on 4 May 2026 and a maximum of 15 participants.

GTC online Certificate in Law and Governance.

GIMPA Training and Consulting offers an online Certificate in Law and Governance running over nine Saturdays from 7 March 2026, for up to 60 participants. The programme covers legal principles, compliance and governance practice for professionals and other individuals.

Eight-week training in M&E, Health Leadership and Global Health concludes.

GIMPA Training and Consulting concluded an eight-week programme covering Monitoring and Evaluation, Health Leadership and Administration, and Global Health for professionals from public and private health institutions. The Institute also announced newly developed courses in Bioethics and Clinical Psychology to address healthcare delivery, medical ethics and mental health management.

GIMPA Training and Consulting graduates 61 health professionals in health management.

GIMPA Training and Consulting held a graduation ceremony on 27 February 2026 for 61 health professionals who completed its four-week Health Administration and Management (HAM) programme. Participants came from health facilities across several regions of Ghana. The Director, Prof. Kenneth Ofori-Boateng, urged graduates to drive efficiency and champion quality care in Ghana’s health sector.

GTC short course: Understanding Climate Change, Impacts, Mitigation and Adaptation.

GIMPA Training and Consulting offers a four-day course on the science of climate change, its impacts and mitigation and adaptation strategies. It targets environmental science students, climate professionals, policymakers, development planners, NGO representatives and business leaders in climate-affected sectors, with a cohort starting on 23 February 2026.

GTC course: Data Science and Business Analytics Using Python.

GIMPA Training and Consulting runs a five-day course on Data Science and Business Analytics Using Python from 23 February to 6 March 2026 at GIMPA Main Campus, for up to 30 participants. Modules cover Python foundations, data wrangling with Pandas, exploratory analysis and visualisation, and statistical analysis; no prior Python experience is required.

Women in Management (WIM) short course for senior-level women leaders.

GIMPA Training and Consulting runs a two-week Women in Management (WIM) Senior Level programme, with a cohort starting on 7 October 2025. The course is designed for women in leadership roles and aspiring managers, and aims to build a leadership foundation and the confidence to navigate leadership roles while exploring styles aligned with personal strengths and values.
