Seven people stand together with two fire extinguishers on the ground after fire safety training at Tema Campus, among them a uniformed fire officer.

Seven Tema Campus staff are now certified fire marshals. The campus has run and reported on a fire simulation exercise and designated an emergency assembly point.

A ramp has been built at the main entrance as the first stage of a disability-friendly campus; accessible washrooms and access to the first floor are still to come. Directional signs are planned for nine locations, and quotations have been requested.

A Student Help Desk gives students a direct channel for questions and concerns through WhatsApp platforms and a QR code for feedback, now active and in use. Students and administrative staff have been trained to use it.

The campus has adopted a standardised slide template, a curriculum built around 21st-century skills, and shared case studies and teaching resources for every course, and new faculty are inducted into these standards. A wider teaching quality project, about 60 per cent complete, is introducing mandatory in-person lectures, standardised moderation of examinations before and after they are sat, and flexible study modes: weekend and weekday-evening master’s programmes, and weekday-morning, weekday-evening and weekend undergraduate programmes, so that working students can study.

The campus has also marked Mother’s Day with a women’s health outreach in collaboration with Meridian Clinic, and it is establishing Tema chapters of the Project Management and Supply Chain Management student clubs.
